Drawing is the foundation to almost any work of art.  When an artist is beginning a piece of art they have to begin with either lines from a pencil sketch- all the way to putting the rough drawing on the canvas or wall with paint.

These links to the right show some "storyboards" which are sketches of the scene that is thought about or desired by the director of photography in order to show the client what they are thinking. "Portraits" are rendered detail drawings of people. "Sketchbook" is a section that has studies and characters that were created in the sketchbook.
